Obituary
Eloise (Weazy) Edwards Thompson, 81 of Logansport, Indiana and formerly of LaFollette, TN passed away Wednesday January 25, 2023 in Franciscan Health Lafayette East at 1:50 PM after a very brief illness.
Born March 13, 1941 in Fonde, Kentucky to the late Harvey and Pernia (Leach) Edwards. On Sept. 11 1959, she married Franklin D Thompson.
Weazy was a former Film Processor for Kodak in Chattanooga TN. Weazy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was always ready to shop. Weazy was a Nascar fan and enjoyed watching the races.
Weazy was a 1959 graduate of LaFollette High School.
Before moving to Indiana, Weazy was an active member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN. Weazy was always on the ready to cook and serve when needed with her beloved friend Dereda Faulkner.
She was survived by her sister Barbara Collinsworth, Logansport IN. A host of several nieces and nephews will mourn her passing.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Franklin D Thompson; son, Mark Dewayne Thompson; sister Carolyn Jo Tackett.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 14 at the Elm Grove Baptist Church, Old Highway 63, LaFollette, TN, with Pastor Danny Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in the Jacksboro City Cemetery, Jacksboro, TN
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Elm Grove Baptist Church, Old Highway 63, LaFollette, TN 37766 or the Gideons International.
Gundrum Funeral Home of Logansport, IN and Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette, TN are in charge of the arrangements.
